Creating a bespoke headboard for Mairi Helena Textiles

We love creating unique and beautiful pieces of furniture, so we were delighted to work with emerging design talent, Mairi Wilks of Mairi Helena textiles. Like Robinsons Beds, Mairi Helena is based in Scotland and it was a real pleasure to collaborate with an up and coming Scottish textile designer to create such a special piece.

We make all our upholstered headboards in our Glasgow factory and welcome the opportunity to create something new and exclusive. Mairi had an idea for a headboard design which would work well with her ‘Summer Thistle’ fabric and sent us an image to base the design upon. We’ve had a lot of experience of making a few tweaks to turn a photo or even a sketch into a finished design. Our craftsmen have been with us for decades and thrive on a challenge. They may occasionally roll their eyes at the things our sales team ask them to create, but they’ll always find a way to produce another spectacular piece. In fact they enjoy the variety of making something different every day and take pride in creating something special.
