Our Continental bespoke bed is shown here in chocolate faux suede. This contemporary headboard panelling style of designer bed offers you a great opportunity to create an outstanding focal point in your bedroom using the panelled headboards as the centre piece.  You can select soft subtle shades of fabric for a relaxing theme or richer colours for a stronger statement; choose textures ranging from practical faux leather, rich velvet, linen or tweed to natural wool. As the base is upholstered in the same fabric as the panels the need for a valance is eliminated. This is a superb hand crafted piece of bedroom furniture produced here in the UK to the highest standard. You can order extra material if you wish to add a throw or cushions.

Step 1:  Our bespoke “design your own” collection allows almost limitless options made to your specification and colour scheme. We’ll even help with suggestions if you like. Our designers and craftsmen are on hand to help with your plans. sales@robinsonsbeds.co.uk

This bespoke bed can be made to measure in standard or custom sizes.  The headboard can be taller or shorter; the base higher or lower.

Step 2:  Choose a fabric from our  vast range of fabrics including -

  • wool 
  • velvet

  • textured fabric  
  • faux suede 
  • genuine and faux leather 
  • c.o.m. *subject to suitability and must be fire retardant

from quality fabric houses such as: Bute wool, Johnstons of Elgin, Moon wool, Abbotsford, Romo, Designer Guild, Linwood, Warwick, Ross, Kirkby Design, Crest Leather, Skopos, Streets and others in a myriad of textures and colours. Given the number of available fabrics we have only been able to price a small selection online. If there is a particular fabric or colour you wish or if you would like the headboard and base in different fabrics please contact us.

We are happy to discuss colours and fabrics and send out free swatches on request. sales@robinsonsbeds.co.uk or ‘phone 0141 632 1384. As we offer a bespoke service, you can also supply a suitable fabric of your own provided it is fire retardant.

Step 3:  As the base is upholstered in the same fabric as the headboard or in a matching fabric it eliminates the need for a valance.  You can specify the height of the base: low, medium or very high. Choose your favourite bed base feet to finish the look. We have displayed a small selection here however if there is something specific you are looking for let us know as we have many more options available.

Storage options available are: 

  • ½ ottoman storage base 
  • 2 drawers; 1 each side at bottom
  • 4 drawers
  • ½ ottoman storage base + 2 drawers

The Continental panels are supplied with wall mounting fixings.

Making Bespoke changes may incur extra charges to standard prices.

Standard bed sizes are -  Double, King size, Euro king, Super king and Emperor. Any other size can be made to measure.
