Bespoke Contemporary Beds Collection - available in a range of fabrics

Our Florence bespoke contemporary bed is displayed here with the padded headboard upholstered in red and grey jacquard fabric with the bed base in  a textured matching self colour showing how you can easily adapt this style to create your ideal bed. From our Bespoke Collection of beds, the Florence is a modern version of a classic upholstered bed which oozes comfort and style. We think the deep padding and framed finish on the headboard suits rich strong colours and patterns which allow the Florence to be a striking focal point in the room. This is simply one version to show the versatility of this deceptively simple design. You can order extra material if you wish to add a matching throw, cushions etc.

Alterations to the standard beds incur a surcharge.

Step 1:  Our bespoke “design your own” collection allows almost limitless options. We make the bed and headboard to your specifications and colour scheme. We’ll even help with suggestions if you like. Our designers and craftsmen are on hand to help with your plans. sales@robinsonsbeds.co.uk 

This bespoke bed can be made to measure in standard or custom sizes.  The headboard can be taller or shorter; the base higher or lower.

Step 2:  Choose your fabrics. Our comprehensive range of fabrics include -

  • wool 
  • velvet 
  • satin 
  • tweed 
  • linen 
  • textured fabric  
  • faux suede 
  • genuine and faux leather 
  • c.o.m. *subject to suitability and must be fire retardant

from quality fabric houses such as: Bute wool, Johnstons of Elgin, Moon wool, Abbotsford, Romo, Designer Guild, Linwood, Warwick, Ross, Kirkby Design, Crest Leather, Skopos, Streets and others in a myriad of textures and colours. The headboard can be upholstered in a different fabric to the base should you wish a patterned bed head.

As we offer a bespoke service, you can also supply a suitable fabric of your own provided it is fire retardant.

Step 3:  As the base is upholstered this eliminates the need for a valance.  You can also specify the height of the base: low, medium or very high. Choose your favourite bed base feet to finish the look. We have displayed a small selection here however if there is something specific you are looking for let us know as we have many more options available.

Storage options available are: 

  • ½ ottoman storage base 
  • 2 drawers; 1 each side at bottom  
  • 4 drawers
  • ½ ottoman storage base + 2 drawers

Note - drawers are not possible in leather or faux leather

This is a superb hand crafted piece of furniture produced here to the highest standard.

The 7cm deep headboard sits above the mattress it can be supplied with wooden straps which attach it to the base or wall mounting fixings.

Standard bed sizes -  Small double, Double, King size, Euro king, Super king and Emperor.  

The dimensions below are standard sizes for guidance assuming use with a 25cm mattress; however this bed can be made to your specific sizes/specification. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
